Kimono new in

Fór að kíkja á nýju Kate Hudson línuna í Lindex í þar síðustu viku eða svo… þá voru bara tveir kimonoar eftir og einn þeirra fékk að fara heim með mér. Hann er svolítið stór en mér finnst hann fullkominn svona oversized og liturinn er svo sumarlegur! Þetta er fyrsti kimonoinn minn og ég geeet ekki beðið eftir því að nota hann í útlöndum í sumar!

Checked out the new Lindex collection today Edited by Kate Hudson. I´m in love with kimonos this summer, so I had to have one. It is one of the bigger sizes but its perfect and I don´t think I would want a smaller one. Can´t wait to wear it this summer! 

coffee and new in

Woke up early this morning for a morning coffee downtown with some friends. I wore my new Lindex viscose dress that I bought the other day, I absolutely love it, its so comfortable and you can either dress it up or use it everyday for school like I do. Its gonna be used way too much this year. - You can find it on Lindex.com here. I´ll hopefully post an outfit post around this weekend in it. :)

Fór snemma á kaffi date í morgun í nýja Lindex kjólnum mínum. Elska þennan kjól! ógeðslega mjúkur og þægilegur kjóll sem er bæði hægt að dressa upp fyrir kvöldið eða nota dags daglega. Er svo ánægð með hann og mun pottþétt nota hann allt of mikið á þessu ári. Outfit post með betri gæði kemur vonandi næstu helgi!

Last day

Today was the last day of summer for me. I enjoyed my last walk through Sarajevo, my last breath of summer sunshine, my last feeling of summer freedom.

The First Day of Summer

The first day of summer (sumardagurinn fyrsti) is an annual public holiday in Iceland held on the first Tuesday after 18 April. In the old days, the Icelanders used the Old Norse calender which divided the year into only two seasons, winter and summer. Although the weather in April cannot be considered summer-like, after a long winter, the Icelanders still celebrate the first day of "summer" with parades, sporting events, swimming pool parties and family time.
On the first day of summer there´s no school and no work, so me and Nejra spent the day at the swimming pool and then later went out for, what we in Iceland call, an ísrúnt (icecream-ride). That is when we drive around the town for hours and eat ice-cream.
Here are a couple of detailed pictures we took today. Don´t get fooled by the sun and by us so lightly dressed, we were freezing our asses off.

Nejra is wearing a shirt from an Icelandic jeans shop (Gallabuxnabúðin)... yeah that´s actually what its called. My glasses from Lindex (Iceland), a necklace from H&M and a YSL inspired ring from Velvet.is.

Because its the first day of summer, I chose to wear my floral Zara blouse that to me screams summer.
