Zara for school

Been looking everywhere for a big enough simple school bag. Got this one on sale at Zara the other day and trust me a sale in Zara is heaven on earth, going back there again as soon as I can.

Zara IPhone case

Because my old one is slowly breaking apart I thought this I Phone case that I found on sale in Zara today might me a good buy. Not a big fan of these gummy, thick I Phone cases but I love the design on this one, so I might keep it on for a while.

Last day

Today was the last day of summer for me. I enjoyed my last walk through Sarajevo, my last breath of summer sunshine, my last feeling of summer freedom.

The First Day of Summer

The first day of summer (sumardagurinn fyrsti) is an annual public holiday in Iceland held on the first Tuesday after 18 April. In the old days, the Icelanders used the Old Norse calender which divided the year into only two seasons, winter and summer. Although the weather in April cannot be considered summer-like, after a long winter, the Icelanders still celebrate the first day of "summer" with parades, sporting events, swimming pool parties and family time.
On the first day of summer there´s no school and no work, so me and Nejra spent the day at the swimming pool and then later went out for, what we in Iceland call, an ísrúnt (icecream-ride). That is when we drive around the town for hours and eat ice-cream.
Here are a couple of detailed pictures we took today. Don´t get fooled by the sun and by us so lightly dressed, we were freezing our asses off.

Nejra is wearing a shirt from an Icelandic jeans shop (Gallabuxnabúðin)... yeah that´s actually what its called. My glasses from Lindex (Iceland), a necklace from H&M and a YSL inspired ring from Velvet.is.

Because its the first day of summer, I chose to wear my floral Zara blouse that to me screams summer.

on the edge

We have been busy with being lazy the last couple of days, but have finally found the time between our lazyness to make an outfit post.

Spring is a time to shed your winter skin, forget about the cold, hard days and daydream and plan for the summer that´s just around the corner. Its time for you to set new goals, decide that you want to live on the edge this summer, fulfill your dreams and live your life to the fullest. In autumn you can lie to rest, but summer is the highlight of the year and you should make it wild and unforgettable and then maybe even, if you let it, you could turn it into the highlight of you life. So enjoy the newly shining sun, the new spring air and plan for a new experience this summer.
