Reykjavík Fashion Festival 2014

Ahh! hlakka svo til að hjálpa með undirbúninginn fyrir Reykjavík Fashion Festival í ár! Hátíðin byrjar á föstudaginn (á morgun!!) og allar sýningarnar eru á laugardaginn! Í ár sýna Farmers Market, Cintamani, ELLA, Sigga Maija, Magnea, Jör by Guðmundur Jörundsson, Ziska og REY. 

Ég elska ekkert meira en að vera partur af svona hátíðum, hef áður verið sjálfboðaliði á Sarajevo Film Festivali og það er það skemmtilegasta í heimi!

This friday is the first day of Reykjavík Fashion Festival and I´m helping with the preparation! all of the shows are on Saturday and this year, designers like, Farmers Market, Cintamani, ELLA, Sigga Maija, Magnea, Jör by Guðmundur Jörundsson, Ziska and REY are showing their new collections. The RFF is the highlight of the year for Icelandic design and I can´t wait to be a part of that!

Since I´m a loyal Pinterest addict I decided to share with you some of my pins from my STYLE board. Looking through it you can see what kind of style I like.. its very plain and minimalistic, a lot of coats and caps and of course.. sneakers. I like basic, simple black and white pieces and love when people match feminine and sporty pieces together, like a dress with sneakers or high heels with sweatpants. PORTER

So, there´s this new magazine, Porter, that you might have heard about, because its EVERYWHERE. Seriously every other picture on my Instagram is PORTER related these days. So the other day on my coffee + studying date with a friend I picked it up and I was happily surprised how different and fun it was. I love the fact that they emphasise on women empowerment, this issue is actually detected to "a celebration of incredible women" and features interviews with incredible women, duuh.
Aaanndd like in other glossy magazines its full of pretty, daydreamy photography and editorials, like the one with Gisele on the cover, and models like Karlie and Chanel Iman showing of the latest trends. ;) I hiigghhlyy recommend! :D

Inside the Harpa

Last couple of days have been all about school, coffee drinks in the cold and doing absolutely nothing. But I´m glad that the first month of the year is over because it draws us a little closer to summer and better sunny days, I´m especially looking forward to May! because me and Nejra are going to take a little trip to London! :) The days here in Iceland are getting longer witch is a good thing, no more darkness and more oppertunities to take pictures!
These pictures are taken inside the Harpa concert hall here in Reykjavík, it is where all of the special concerts and events are held, for example RFF (Reykjavík Fashion Festival) which is going to be held at the end of March this year. Harpa also houses the Icelandic symphony orchestra and the Icelandic opera. -Me and my friend went for a little walk over there the other day, because I had never been inside, and took these pictures.

Had a wonderful Sunday with a friend. We went for coffee and did some studying at our favourite coffee shop downtown. On our way there we took these pictures at "Tjörnin" literally meaning "pond" which is a popular family hangout place downtown. Love taking a walk over there and feeding the ducks or just hanging out. The view is beautiful.

I love this coat, so classic and simple.
